About

Amber Tolbert Boudoir is a place for you to come and let your hair down. We want you to be fully relaxed while we pamper you from head to toe. You are a delight all on your own and we will capture that allure in your portraits.
Our goal is to have you loving and appreciating your body as it is, right now. It's time to not just look beautiful but feel beautiful. Over the years we should only grow more fond of how we look and accept our inner and outer beauty. Indulge in some self-loving with a boudoir shoot, allow yourself to be thrilled every once in a while. You might be surprised on how much you'll enjoy a new experience like a boudoir session for the real woman.
We know it's nerve wracking to bare it all for the camera, but between your bubbly photographer and our beautiful private studio, we promise you'll feel at home, sexy, and empowered in no time at all.

I am equal parts creative, analytical and woo woo. .
I proudly claim the creative title, and use it to my benefit to account for my constant need to rearrange furniture.
I’m a type b mom (maybe even type c), raising 4 kids to think independently and be brave, and to do hard things.
Here are some of my deal breakers:
Lighting in my home is everything. Overhead lights are a no go.
Scented anything is a no go.
Literally anything before plastic - aside from legos.
Natural fiber clothes are superior
Underwear is optional.
There is room for everyone. Always.
Small talk is too surface. I want to know what makes you tick.
I am a woman, who is flawed, who knows it’s ok to be flawed, and who has surrounded my self with people who feel the same.
I respect everyone’s pronouns, safety, privacy, and meet you where you’re at in my studio. I”m not here to push, but to encourage.
I reach for men’s jeans over women’s… why all the tightness… can’t we just breathe ? I reach for mens wear in general actually.
Diane Keaton was my muse.
My true home is our A-frame off-grid in the mountains where we ‘rough it’ as often as possible. No electricity, no plumbing, just a wooden tent surrounded by nature, the crackle of the fire while I knit, and hand-washing the dishes in the river. It’s where I’m my best.
I switched gears 14 years ago, when I was a software engineer... I was miserable. I mean, panic every Sunday evening, loathed my life miserable. Sometimes it takes knowing what you don’t want before you can find what you really do want.
In my real-life I find my studio to be my sanctuary. Peaceful, uplifting, and quiet.
Boudoir came so naturally to me after years of shooting weddings and senior portraits and families. Boudoir was slower. Boudoir is about connecting with women. Boudoir is about shining a light on the parts of us that we don’t see, or that our negative self talk pushes away.
Boudoir is a mutual relationship with my client. We work through fears, insecurities and nerves and get down to what makes you feel like YOU.
You are a free spirit deep down. Maybe cloaked by a professional career, or all the adulting that is asked of you, but inside you secretly want someone to see the deep and mysterious and sensual feminine side of you. You are not into performing, and not comfortable in front of the camera. But, you want to be photographed in a way that makes you see on the outside the way you feel on the inside.
There’s a little girl in there somewhere that wants to play, and feel all the fun things about being a grown woman, the things we lose when we get a to-do list that is too long.
Whether you’re feeling good about your body, or not at all, you know you need to give yourself some attention and self care. You value quality. You’d prefer a few great fitting pairs of jeans to a shelf full of ‘ok’ jeans.
You know you deserve to be kinder to yourself.
You’ve thought about how it might feel to experience a boudoir shoot… but never saw yourself actually doing it.
You crave authenticity and you have a desire to feel good about your body. Guess what… it’s time.
YOU DESERVE TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED
